I organise and catalogue objects, manuscripts and books and work with data (text and images) to create databases, websites and print publications.
Clients have included The National Museum of Ireland, The Hunt Museum, National Roads Authority, Cork City Council, Cork County Council, Blarney Castle Estate, University College Cork, Cambridge University Press and private clients. I have held senior positions on digital projects at the University of Cambridge, the Royal Irish Academy and University College Cork and am currently responsible for the University Curatorial Collections at UCC.
A selection of projects implemented include compilation of a catalogue of Blarney Castle archive (now at CCCA); catalogue of the Ursuline Convent Blackrock (Cork) historical library and archive; the Department of Early & Medieval Irish, UCC, Celtic Digital Initiative, De Finibus websites and Tom O'Donovan's Irish Sagas Online; Irish Texts Society website; Cork Historical & Archaeological Society website; catalogue of The Hunt Museum collection and The Hunt Museum provenance research and archives website and database, cataloguing the Sybil Connolly collection at The Hunt Museum; book indexes; confidential historical research services including family history, legal and provenance research.
